Day of Caring is scheduled for St. Valentine’s Day each year with the aim of redirecting the spirit of love and compassion inherent in the St. Valentine’s Day tradition towards worthwhile community service. The day gives the average worker in Ghana the opportunity to play an active and fulfilling role in improving the lives and welfare of people they may otherwise never have a chance to meet.
Janet Butler of President of UWG’s Governing Council, says: “Day of Caring aims to show people that volunteering is not just a bunch of college kids from abroad coming down for a year. Anyone with an hour to spare can participate. Our aim is to help communities take a quantum leap forward to achieve milestones in development that they have not been able to attain on their own.”
Why not consider joining Teligent Wireless in supporting UWG’s projects.
